I’ve made plenty of videos in the Gulf of Carpentaria and the McArthur River. But not in the middle of the Wet Season. That’s what makes this video special.

It may not look like it in the video, but this trip was a struggle from start to finish. Why? Spending days in the boat in the blistering heat was crazy. And when it wasn’t insanely hot, there were storms and rain.

And there’s the mud of course.

And the fishing was tough.

But it wasn’t all bad news. On the final day of fishing, we got onto a few. I caught my first Barramundi of the year and the boys got some good reefies too.
